This cannot be objectively measured but generally means that the patient feels safe to share as much as possible without being judged and also to receive feedback or advice. Often patients come with the predetermined idea that a certain person from a certain background, age, religion, gender is more suitable. We find that this not always the case. If you are not comfortable in therapy it is important you discuss with the therapist of even approach the medical director in our clinic for alternative suggestions.

Our clinicians and staff will not communicate with anyone else but the patient, unless the patient themselves authorizes contact. In case of an immediate emergency the treating clinician may choose to breach confidentiality but only with the relevant parties and with the strictly necessary information.

Many mental health conditions require medication or at least some form of pharmacological intervention. We advise you to book a consultation with one of our psychiatrists. Seeing a psychiatrist does not mean you will end up on medication. But at least you will be aware of your options.
