Clinician profile
Timea Antal
Psychologist
Timea Antal is a CDA-licensed Psychologist with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy, and four years of clinical experience.
She works with children, adolescents and young adults, with particular expertise in anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotional regulation, self-esteem and self-worth.
At the heart of Timea’s approach is the belief that therapy should provide a space where young people feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. She uses a warm, compassionate and individualised approach, building trusting relationships that allow clients to explore their experiences openly and without judgement.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based psychological practice. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Through these approaches, she helps clients understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions and behaviours while developing practical skills to manage challenges and difficult emotions with greater confidence.
Timea is particularly passionate about helping young people develop a positive sense of identity and self-worth. She works collaboratively with each client, recognising their individual strengths and helping them build the confidence and resilience needed to navigate everyday challenges and more difficult periods in their lives.
She also has four years of clinical experience supporting neurodivergent children, including children with autism. This experience has strengthened her understanding of the importance of adapting therapeutic support to each child’s individual needs and unique way of experiencing and engaging with the world.
Timea’s goal is not only to help clients manage their current challenges but also to help them feel more confident, understood and empowered as they move forward.
