Dr. Rama Kanj

Dr. Rama Kanj is an Educational Psychologist with extensive experience supporting children and young people experiencing a range of academic, emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. She is passionate about helping children understand how they learn, recognising their individual strengths, and creating the right conditions for them to feel confident and thrive both at school and at home.

Dr. Rama specialises in comprehensive psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessments, using internationally recognised, evidence-based assessment tools to develop a detailed understanding of each child’s cognitive, learning, emotional, and behavioural profile. Her assessments can help identify learning difficulties, developmental differences, areas of giftedness, and other factors that may be affecting a child’s academic performance or overall wellbeing.

She takes a child-centred and strengths-based approach, recognising that every child has a unique way of learning and processing the world around them. Dr. Rama believes that assessment should be more than a diagnosis or a set of scores; it should provide families with meaningful insight into their child and clear, practical recommendations that can make a positive difference in everyday life.

As Lead Educational Psychologist at The Valens Clinic, Dr. Rama works closely with children, parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each child receives holistic and personalised support.
