Nadeen Taha

Nadeen is a Registered Dietitian with the Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario, having completed her Bachelor degree in Nutrition and Food with Honours from Ryerson University in Canada.

She holds a Masters degree from the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital, where her clinical nutrition research thesis focused on the effects of vitamin D on neurocognitive benefits and insulin resistance in geriatric patients. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for a Nutrition course at the University of Toronto.

She pursued further training at North York General Hospital in Toronto where she gained clinical hands-on experience on the specific nutritional needs of complex and complicated disease conditions across all life stages, from premature infants in the Neonatal ICU to older adults with multiple co-morbidities.

In the UAE, she worked in several centers including Mediclinic Dubai Mall and City Hospital, and was the Director of the Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition Department at the American Hospital Dubai.

Her skills include specialization in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Enteral Feeding (EN) for medical and surgical patients who are severely nutritionally compromised; as well as management of the metabolic syndrome and metabolic disorders including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, pancreatic, liver, and renal disorders. She is also experienced in mental health and tailoring appropriate nutritional plans. Her assessments include adults, children/adolescents and infants.
